Kia EVs for Sale

A blue 2025 Kia EV9 is shown on a cloudy day after looking at Kia EVs for sale.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the growing popularity of electric vehicles. Looking at the big picture, EVs can help us get cleaner air for ourselves and our children and can make the United States more energy secure. Zooming into the driver’s personal experience, you’ll find benefits ranging from the ability to charge up at home or at work instead of needing to stop at an extra location during your busy day to improved driving dynamics from near-instant torque and one-pedal driving. These days, EVs come in all shapes, sizes, and types, so there’s never been a better time to find one that’s a perfect fit for you.

We have a wide range of Kia EVs for sale here at Parkway Family Kia, and we’re confident that one of them will suit your needs perfectly. Whether you’re an early adopter of electric powertrains looking to upgrade to a newer model or are considering buying your very first electrified model, our team can answer all of your questions, really listen to you when you tell them what you’re hoping to get out of your next vehicle, and match you up with something that will keep you happy for years to come. Once you get used to the freedom of driving an EV, you’ll never look back.

Shop Our Selection of New Kia EVs

Electric vehicle technology is constantly improving, offering more range, quicker charging, and better driving dynamics. If you want to get the most cutting-edge powertrain possible, you’ll want to shop for a new Kia model. When you browse our new inventory, you also get access to the full range of available variants and trim levels, making it easy to ensure that you get the features you want, whether you prefer the extra traction of all-wheel drive or want to make sure you have a wireless charging pad to keep your phone powered up without the need for flimsy cables.

Shopping for a new vehicle also makes it easier to get the exact trim level you want. Whether you’re hoping for something simple and affordable or a more luxurious option, you’ll be able to browse the full range of Kia models and pick the one that you prefer. We do everything we can to offer a good range of options in our used inventory too, of course, but it’s simply going to be less predictable since we’re relying on lease-ends and trade-ins rather than getting vehicles directly from the factory.

Explore Our Used and CPO Kia EVs

Kia has been making electric vehicles for years now, so you don’t have to stick to our new inventory to find an electrified model that has fantastic range and amazing driving dynamics. One myth you might have heard about EVs is that their batteries aren’t built to last. But in reality, EV batteries have been shown to last as long as the average gas engine. And since Kia offers some of the best warranty coverage out there, odds are good that your pre-owned model will still be covered, so you can rest easy even if you do experience an issue down the road.

When you shop here at Parkway Family Kia, you can easily make an informed decision when picking out a used model. Here on our website, you can browse all of our current inventory and check out a free vehicle history report for every option you’re considering to make sure that it has a clean bill of health. And if you want even more peace of mind, you can opt for a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Kia. These models all undergo a rigorous inspection to make sure they’re worthy of being certified. On top of the usual warranty coverage, CPO vehicles also have Platinum Comprehensive coverage, Roadside Assistance, and Travel Breakdown coverage, so you can drive with confidence wherever you go.

Kia Battery Electric Vehicles

If you’re looking to go all in on electric power, you’ll want to check out Kia’s lineup of fully electric vehicles, otherwise known as battery electric vehicles (BEVs). With models ranging from compact options like the EV6 to great family vehicles like the three-row EV9, there’s something for everyone in this category. This variety also means that there’s something for every budget, from affordable entry-level options to models that are downright luxurious.

Kia's fully electric vehicles will let you drive hundreds of miles at a time on pure electric power. Because they don’t burn any fossil fuels at all, they produce zero tailpipe emissions, provide smooth driving dynamics, and offer near-silent operation for a nice, quiet ride. They are also powerful and thrilling vehicles to drive. Kia’s BEVs also feature sleek, futuristic styling that’s sure to turn heads and make you the envy of your block.

Kia Hybrids and Plug-in Hybrids

Not looking to go cold turkey on gasoline? That’s just fine—Kia also has plenty of hybrid models that pair a conventional internal combustion engine with one or more electric motors to give you the best of both worlds. Traditional hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) charge their electric motors through regenerative braking, a process that captures energy that would otherwise be lost to heat and converts it into usable electricity. These models offer great fuel economy, so you can go farther on a single tank of gas without ever needing to worry about charging. However, the electric motor is just there to supplement the engine; it can’t power the car on its own.

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (also known as PHEVs) take things a step further. They still use regenerative braking, but in addition to that, you can charge the battery directly. Plug it into a public or at-home charging station, and you’ll give the large battery onboard enough juice that you can take shorter trips in all-electric mode, relying on the motor entirely and bypassing the engine. Once the battery starts to run low, the engine will take over. For longer trips, you can also split the power between the battery and the gas tank, giving you plenty of flexibility.

While Kia has a dedicated lineup of fully electric vehicles, its hybrid lineup is based on familiar nameplates like the Sorento, Sportage, and Carnival. If you’re already a Kia driver and know what body style you like, it’s easy to transition to a hybrid that will feel nice and familiar. This makes it less daunting to go green so you can sit back and enjoy the benefits of electric power without getting frustrated by too much change happening all at once.

Benefits of Owning an EV

Each type of electric vehicle offers its own unique set of benefits. All of them make driving more efficient, so you can shrink your carbon footprint without limiting how much you get around. Let’s take a look at each type of EV that Kia offers and what it brings to the table.

HEV

Hybrid electric vehicles are the easiest models for first-time EV owners to use. That’s because you don’t have to do anything new to get the most out of them or keep them running. Just fill the tank when you’re running low and drive as usual—the only difference is that you’ll find yourself spending way less time (and money) at the gas station. If you want good fuel economy but don’t want to worry about charging a battery, this is the EV for you!

PHEV

As the name suggests, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles can be plugged into an outlet or dedicated charging station to power the battery directly. One big advantage of these vehicles, though, is that they use gas as a backup—if you forget to charge, you won’t get the best fuel economy or be able to use all-electric mode, but you won’t get stuck in the middle of the highway either. Because of this, PHEVs are great if you’re considering getting a fully electric vehicle someday but want to figure out how charging works in a low-stakes situation.

BEV

Battery electric vehicles are what you probably think of first when you hear “EV.” These vehicles may have a steeper learning curve if you’re coming over from gas or diesel for the first time, but once you get your sea legs under you, you’ll be rewarded with plenty of advantages. You’ll get a smooth ride that’s nearly silent for a quiet and comfortable cabin, plenty of torque to help you accelerate quickly when you need to pass on a two-lane road or get up to speed on a freeway, and a powertrain with fewer moving parts that doesn’t need as much maintenance to keep it going.

Learning how to keep your BEV charged can be a challenge at first because it’s quite different from fossil fuels, but once you figure it out, you’ll find that charging can actually be more convenient. For one thing, you can do it in more places. Instead of needing to make an extra stop just for fuel, you can charge in the parking lot of the grocery store or at work. You can also charge at home. This is most effective if you install a 240-volt outlet, but even a regular outlet will add some miles to your battery if you leave it plugged in overnight. If you need to charge up quickly during a long drive like a road trip, you can use DC fast charging.

Not only is charging more flexible, but its cost is also often lower and generally more predictable. Because the energy in the power grid comes from multiple sources, including wind and solar, it doesn’t have a single point where it can bottleneck, making it more stable than the ever-fluctuating price of gasoline. This lets you plan your budget more easily so you can be prepared for the road ahead. And since some energy providers charge less for power during “off-peak” hours, charging up overnight can be extra affordable, giving you an easy way to use the system to your advantage.

Finance Your EV Here

We believe that every driver deserves to have a great vehicle, no matter their budget or credit score. That’s why we have a finance department staffed by experts who are always willing to go the extra mile to put together a financing plan that works for your needs. We have connections with lenders throughout Texas, so we can compare different offers and get you the best possible terms and rates on your loan or lease.

In addition to putting your plan together, our finance experts are also here to explain it to you in simple terms and answer any questions you may have. We know that the fine print of these agreements can be tough to parse, and we want to help you understand it completely so you can feel comfortable committing to the terms. In addition to being available in person, we can also be reached over the phone, so you can get in contact with us as soon as you think of something you want to discuss, no matter where you are.

Maintenance and Parts for Your EV

No matter which type of Kia EV you choose, we can take care of its maintenance needs here in our service department. If you have a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, you’ll still be coming in for all the usual items: oil changes, transmission flushes, etc. But since fully electric vehicles don’t have gas-powered engines or transmissions, they don’t have as many fluids or moving parts to deal with, so they’re generally cheaper to maintain. You still need to come in for tire rotations, regular multi-point inspections, and any issues you notice, but you’ll save a lot of time and money in the long run.

One part of maintenance that’s easier for all types of electric vehicles is brake maintenance. You should still get your brakes inspected regularly, of course—having an issue with your brakes can be seriously dangerous. However, regenerative braking is easier on the system than mechanical braking in a traditional gas-powered vehicle. Because of this, the brake pads and rotors don’t wear down as quickly, so they’ll last longer and won't need to be replaced as often. Our technicians know exactly what to look for to make sure your brakes still have plenty of life left in them and will let you know when they’re starting to wear down and will need to be replaced in the near future, so if you keep up with regular maintenance visits, you’ll have plenty of warning and will never get caught unawares.

EVs also have some unique parts that aren’t shared with traditional gasoline vehicles, like high-voltage batteries and charging components. These parts are built to last, but like any component of a vehicle, they can become damaged or wear out over time. If that happens, you can always come to us to get a genuine Kia replacement part that’s well-constructed and built to fit your exact model. We offer competitive prices so you can keep your Kia running without breaking the bank.
