When it comes to finding the right vehicle for your needs, flexibility is often a top priority, which is one of many reasons why SUVs are at the top of the list for many drivers. That also means there are a lot of SUVs to consider, which might make you wonder which options stand out above the rest. For that answer, our team at Parkway Family Kia thinks you should take a closer look at the 2025 Kia Telluride X-Line and X-Pro.

We’re your local Houston Kia Telluride dealer and the #1 Volume Kia Dealership in Texas. We also have years of experience on our side and a dedication to ensuring exceptional customer service, which translates to a stress-free and hassle-free shopping experience. When you work with our team to find the right SUV for your needs, you’ll see that we truly care about helping you find the best match rather than pushing for a quick sale. In fact, it’s our goal to develop long-lasting relationships with our customers and ensure we provide them with the support they need throughout their ownership.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Telluride X-Line and X-Pro, we’d be more than happy to answer any questions you might have and schedule a test drive. For now, however, keep reading to see why we think these rugged and adventurous trims for Kia’s largest SUV deserve a closer look.

Telluride Overview

The Telluride was initially introduced in 2020, adding to an already impressive Kia lineup. Today, the Telluride sits above the rest of the class, earning distinctions such as being named to Car and Driver’s 10Best Trucks List for six years in a row. It also offers a number of trim levels to ensure you get the best match for your driving needs, whether you’re typically in charge of getting your kids—and their friends—to school in the Houston area or if you need the flexible seating and cargo space to accommodate soccer gear and your DIY projects. Two impressive options in that lineup include the X-Line and X-Pro, which are designed to make the Telluride more off-road-ready.

2025 Telluride X-Line

When shopping from our inventory, you will notice that the 2025 Kia Telluride X-Line series includes the EX X-Line, the SX X-Line, and the SX Prestige X-Line. All three offer more rugged features and a long list of amenities that help with everything from keeping you and your passengers connected to ensuring you have the latest safety features on board. However, there are some differences between the three to consider when determining which might be best for you.

The biggest difference between the other Telluride trims and the X-Line trims is that they offer 8.4 inches of ground clearance and come standard with all-wheel drive, including a center-locking differential and Snow Mode. While that might not be the most impressive mode for the Houston area, you will enjoy the other drive modes it offers, such as Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Smart. Tow Mode is also added to the X-Line trims, helping them tow up to 5,000 lbs.

When it comes to differences between the three X-Line trims, the EX X-Line is considered the base level of the three. While it offers you standard safety features like Blind-Spot Collision Warning, the other two level up that protection by adding Blind-Spot Collision Warning – Parallel Exit and Blind-Spot View Monitor. The first of these additional features provides support when exiting a parallel parking spot, which is crucial in downtown Houston. The latter feature gives you a side camera view for safer lane changes when activated. Still, all three X-Line trims go above and beyond when it comes to safety, offering many features that other SUVs only offer in their top-tier trim levels. One such feature is Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go – Curve, which helps you maintain a safe speed on curvy roads for optimum safety.

It’s worth noting as well that while other Telluride trim levels may offer a seating capacity of up to eight, the X-Line has standard captain’s chairs in the second row, so the capacity is set at seven. This may or may not be a deal breaker for you, depending on your needs. Regarding seating, you will find the EX X-Line has an eight-way power driver’s seat with two-way lumbar support, while the SX X-Line and SX Prestige X-Line options give you ten ways to adjust your seat, as well as four-way lumbar support. All three offer standard heated and ventilated front seats, while the SX Prestige X-Line extends that feature to the rear seats. Additionally, all three have a standard heated steering wheel.

For connectivity, the X-Line trio of SUVs gives you a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with navigation to help you get from point A to point B while enjoying your favorite playlist along the way. Upgrading to the SX Prestige X-Line supplements this with a 10-inch head-up display. Finally, all three give you the ability to seamlessly connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto or take advantage of SiriusXM radio.

2025 Telluride X-Pro

The X-Pro is offered in two variants: the EX X-Pro and the SX Prestige X-Pro. The second of these is the top-tier Telluride option. Like the X-Line trims, these two options have a standard all-wheel drive rather than your choice between it and front-wheel drive. However, the exterior of the X-Pro options offers even more rugged features like 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, giving you more confidence during the drive, whether navigating a sudden downpour in the Houston area or making your way to the family campsite in tougher terrain. Additionally, the towing capacity of the X-Pro trim levels is slightly higher than that of the X-Line trims, at 5,500 lbs.

When it comes to safety, you can expect the same lineup of features for the EX X-Pro and SX Prestige X-Pro that you will find on the EX X-Line and SX Prestige X-Line. Additionally, the seating capacity for the X-Pro trims is set at seven, with the same captain’s chairs in the second row that are found in the X-Line trims. There are differences between the two, however. For instance, the SX Prestige X-Pro offers a 100V power inverter in the rear cargo area, which is ideal for drivers on the go who might need a little extra power now and then.

For comfort and convenience, you can’t go wrong when choosing either the X-Line or the X-Pro, as both offer amenities such as the 12.3-inch touchscreen display mentioned above and the comfort of heated seats on chilly mornings and, more importantly, ventilated seats to cool you off after a day in the sun. However, only the SX Prestige versions have standard rain-sensing windshield wipers, a Full Display Mirror that alternates between a traditional rearview mirror and a camera-based one to help you avoid obstacles while backing up, as well as Reverse Tilt-Down Side Mirrors and the ability to talk with passengers in the second and third rows through the use of Driver Talk, which utilizes the cabin microphone and speakers.
